Who can benefit from taking the class?

Any level of experience will greatly benefit from these classes. Those with extensive marine insurance background will enjoy the in-depth discussions and up to date case studies while those with limited marine insurance experience will appreciate the easy to follow and conversational delivery.

Is there an exam?

Yes, some states require participants to complete a final exam for each course. A score of 70% is required to receive credit for the course.

Will AEU file the credits I earn with the State?

Yes! We will notify the State Department of Insurance within 10 days of your completion of the class.

My home state is not Alabama, Florida, or Louisiana can I still get credit?

This offering of both the USL&H and MEL classes is only authorized for credits in Alabama, Florida, or Louisiana.

Will I get a certificate?

Certificates will be issued electronically and delivered to the email provided within 10 calendar days.

Do I still have to pay for the class if I don't need credit?

Yes, all registrants must pay the $50.00 per class fee.

I had a last minute appointment/emergency/illness come up, can I get a refund?

If you let us know you cannot make it for any reason we will refund your fees in full up until 24 hours prior to class.

Can I transfer my registration to another person?

Yes, if you notify AEU prior to the class at aeu.marketing@amequity.com to advise AEU of the new registrant's name, address and P&C home-state license number, we will transfer your registration cost to that person.

What if AEU cancels the class?

If AEU has to cancel the class, you will receive a full refund.

We'd like to have someone from AEU teach a class at our office. Is that possible?

Yes, we are able to schedule sessions at your office with a minimum of 10 students. We are happy to present either one class or the other (4 hours) or both classes for a full day (8 hours) for $75 per student/per class.
