Frequently Asked Questions
1. When do I need to provide AEU with my flight itinerary information?
The deadline to provide AEU with your flight information is Friday, June 20, 2025. You will add your flight information during the Conference registration process.
If you have not booked your flights when you register, you can add that information later. Here’s how: on your confirmation email, click “Modify Registration” or click the "Log In" tab at the top of this screen. Click "Modify Registration" on that screen. Click through the registration until you reach the question asking if you have your flights booked. Change your answer to "yes". You will then be able to add your flight information.
2. Can I book a room before and/or after the ALMA Conference?
You are responsible for booking your own room. A credit card will be required at the time of booking, but will not be charged. AEU will cover the cost of hotel rooms for the nights of July 13, 14, and 15 at the The Broadmoor.
If you choose to extend your stay before or after these dates, you will be responsible for the additional charges, and a one-night deposit will be charged to your card. This deposit is non-refundable if cancelled within 7 days of arrival.
3. What is the attire for the Conference?
The majority of events at the Conference are resort casual which includes button-downs, polo shirts, sundresses, and nice shorts.
The attire for most of the optional activities will be comfortable casual outdoor and/or athletic attire, and close-toed shoes.
The attire for the final night is inspired by the theme, Neon Lights and Country Nights. See inspiration photos here. If you choose not to come in costume, the recommended attire is resort casual.
4. How can I prepare for the altitude increase in Colorado Springs, CO?
At over 6,000 feet, the thinner air can cause mild altitude sickness, like headaches, dizziness, and dehydration.
Drink plenty of water before and during your trip. The dry climate can dehydrate you faster than usual.
Give your body time to adjust, especially if you're coming from a low-altitude location. Avoid intense exercise right away.
4. Do people dress up for the theme night?
At the theme night, you can expect a wide range of participation. Below are some examples of attendees who embraced the theme and had fun with it!
