John Kawczynski is a graduate of Boston College and Villanova University School of Law. Prior to founding Field & Kawczynski, he clerked for a two-year term for the Honorable Robert D. Kaplan, District Chief Administrative Law Judge for the U.S. Department of Labor in Camden, New Jersey, whereby he prepared decisions and orders in connection with Longshore Act, Black Lung Benefits and workplace standards cases. Thereafter, he worked at a major insurance defense firm in Philadelphia for five years. John is a frequent author and lecturer on Longshore-related topics. He also serves on the advisory board to the Benefits Review Board Service-Longshore Reporter. He is also the Municipal Prosecutor in South Amboy, Metuchen, and Piscataway.
