Erica Janssen serves as Vice President, Claims Administration for The American Equity Underwriters. She began her insurance career in 1998 with multi-line adjusting and began her maritime exposure a year later, handling claims for a large shipbuilder. In March 2000, she joined F.A. Richard ALMA Branch (now AEU) and in 2003 was promoted to Claims Supervisor. In 2010, she expanded her claims knowledge by serving as FARA Client Services Manager, handling accounts and communicating with carriers and brokers, and returned to claims in 2011. Her current role at AEU focuses on ensuring handling and system processes follow Best Practices, using data-driven strategies, and working with various agencies to ensure compliance. Erica holds a Louisiana adjuster license and various industry memberships. She received her bachelors degree from Louisiana State University - Baton Rouge.
