Speaker Bio
Cliff Roberts has over 30 years of leadership experience in the Aviation, Energy, and Shipbuilding Sector and is currently the VP, QHSE for Conrad Industries. Before that, Cliff served as the Vice President of Global QHSE for Frank’s International, where he was responsible for overseeing an enterprise team of more than 5000 employees. He and his team were recognized for developing and implementing record setting performance by moving a culture from a “bolt-on” model to a “built-in ownership” model whereas everyone owns QHSE, not just the safety and quality professionals.
Cliff was an aviation technician in the helicopter industry, where he was not only licensed to troubleshoot, repair, and ensure that aircraft components were properly maintained, installed, and safe, but he also held the highest level of responsibility with an "Inspection Authorization (IA)," which gave him the authority to release the aircraft as airworthy.
Throughout his career, Cliff has held roles from Safety Management to VP of Global QHSE reporting to the President/CEO. Leveraging experience from aviation, over the last 20 years Cliff and his team have managed to build and implement a lean QHSE management system involving cultures from around the world. Cliff maintains a Safety and Health Technology degree and is a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) from the board of certified safety professionals (BCSP), and many other certifications.
