Leo Alaniz is a Loss Control Manager for The American Equity Underwriters, Inc. Before joining AEU in February 2023, Leo spent 12 years at Keppel AmFELS Shipyard then joined the upstream oil and gas industry with SBM Offshore. He then committed over two years at SpaceX Starbase. Leo is an active member of several safety organizations, including the National Safety Council (NSC) and the Association Society of Safety Professionals (ASSP). Leo earned his Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in Occupational Health and Safety from Columbia Southern University. Additionally, he earned his Computer Science Certificate from the United States Air Force while serving as a Computer Network Communications Specialist.
