Donald P. Moore graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Southeastern Louisiana University in 1988 where he was a member of The Order of Omega and the Gamma Beta Phi Honor Societies, as well as a founding father of the Zeta Phi Chapter of Sigma Pi Social fraternity. While at SLU Donald was recognized as an outstanding student and given the Green “S” Award. He was also included in Who’s Who Among American Colleges and Universities. He received his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Tulane University’s School of Law.
Donald joined Franke & Salloum, PLLC after graduation and admission to the Louisiana Bar in 1991. In 1993, he was admitted to practice law in Mississippi. He is a member of the Harrison County Bar Association, the Mississippi Bar Association, the Louisiana Bar Association and Russell-Blass-Walker Chapter of the American Inns of Court. His exclusive area of practice is workers’ compensation, both federal and state and he serves on the Executive Committee of the Workers’ Comp Section of the Mississippi Bar. Donald is also an approved mediator for the Mississippi Bar’s Workers’ Compensation Section Kid’s Chance pilot Mediation Project. He carries an AV Legal Ability Rating with the Martindale Hubbell Legal Directory.
Donald and his wife have two children and live in Pass Christian, Mississippi where he is civically active. Donald previously served as Alderman for the City of Pass Christian for six years and was serving at the time Hurricane Katrina struck. He was significantly involved in post-Katrina rebuilding of his hometown but ultimately resigned his position due to relocating as a result of his home being destroyed. Donald currently serves as Chairman of the Harrison County Library System Board of Trustees, is also Chairman of the Pass Christian Civil Service Commission and is a Commissioner with the Mississippi Coast Coliseum Commission.
